We have a new ocean leader, Christy Cilliers, that wanted to help cohost her first girl's beach cleanup with us. FTHT would like to give a shout out to her and a big THANK YOU to the ladies that came to the latest girl's beach cleanup on January 26th, 2020.
What happened during the event? The ocean continually left huge amounts of rubbish onto the shoreline. It was absolutely heartbreaking to see! There was just so much plastic and Styrofoam.
In hindsight, our organization is grateful that the ocean had large waves that morning enabling us to help capture in all. It was terrifying to see but looking at the glass half full - thank goodness we were there to capture it all before it went back into the ecosystem.
So a super big thank you to all that showed up, rolled up their sleeves and got to work as a badass beautiful lady!! It was a huge collection in just 90 minutes!
